Lucky draw for choices..

Well no matter how happy-go-lucky or 'Wadeveurr, I don't give a damn' kind of person you are (at least I boast about me being in the second category) truth be told & truth be admitted- Life is indeed complicated, my friend. You spend a good amount your time doing a thing you hate just because you think you are getting the required experience to reach your next goal, and when the time to take the plunge finally comes, you feel confused like a tennis ball shuttling from one side of the court to the other and some times (and more so) the court is divided into more than two parts. A good simili would be a tennis ball in a mixed doubles game, I think.

They say 'when all doors close, a new one opens',but what if all doors close & none opens, or you are not able to see an open one, and what if many doors are open all at the same time & you can't tell a single difference between them. I guess here is where the role of 'choice' in life comes, but you can't choose just like that... I wish there were a Lucky draw of all the doors open & the one that wins is the way you take. But no dear, no such lucky draw exists for us.

A beautiful day!

2:30 pm sharp as as Phillips had told me I was there right in the front of our office on 131 South Dearborn. And there he comes after some seconds, far from the other side of the building & it was the first time I saw him walking so fast as if almost running towards me & he had this huge smile on his face, which made the equally broad smile appear on my face & I too started walking towards him. Later when I and Alex were in Phillip's car going towards his home in Indiana for dinner he had so generously invited us to, the scene replayed in my mind. To me it was a classic moment when human goodness surfaces. Phillips and I have been working together for the past one year, we have discussed technical puzzles over the phone or on emails, have trained each other on our respective areas of expertise, we have had weekly status calls, everything on a very professional level, but this was different, very different. It was simply a human meeting another human & both trying their best to make the moment special for each other other, trying to give their best to each other in that moment. I could almost feel the goodness in his beautiful gesture of smiling & walking fast towards me. I mean just imagine, a person almost the age of your dad, who is your teammate in office, invites you to his home for dinner & comes all the way to office to pick you up & on meeting you, he rushes towards you with a broad smile on his face as if nothing else, but meeting you, could give him that happiness at the moment. If you think about it carefully, it is one of the most beautiful feelings I have known & felt myself. As a child, I always believed in human goodness & that it existed more than we thought it did & as an adult I only seem to believe it more...

Physics of Illusion

http://quanta-gaia.org/dobson/PhysicsOfIllusion.html

Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former.
-Albert Einstein

At least I am reminded of my stupidity when I get completely baffled by some parts of this great essay delivered by John Dobson, who as this site describes, was a sidewalk astronomer, builder of telescopes & a groundbreaking thinker & teacher. I have made one attempt to understand the Theory of Relativity & I failed. I think I have an appetite for several more attempts & I will keep trying to evaporate a drop out of the ocean of my stupidity. After all, I most certainly believe that the great Theory like the Theory of Relativity deserves not to be understood that easily by a person of average intelligence like me :)

[Gaib=hidden/mysterious, mazaamiiN=topics, sariir=scratchiing sound made by a pen] [Khaama=pen, navaa=sound, sarosh=angel]

-Mirza Ghalib

The sheer aura of this great poet makes my hand feel heavy when I type his name & makes me stop for a while & glance at the name after I have written it.
